First Time Guests

We welcome you to Fellowship Kids! If you're planning on visiting Fellowship Bible Church for the first time and have children who will participate in our Children's Ministry, we hope this information will give you an idea of what you can expect when you arrive on campus. WHEN IS CHILDREN'S MINISTRY OFFERED?

We offer Children's Ministry programs during both Sunday services (9:00 am and 10:30 am).

9:00 Kingdom Kids Hour: Infants - Kindergarten

10:30 Fellowship Kids Hour: Infants - 2’s, 3’s - K, 1st - 6th grade Theme Rooms

 

Policies and Procedures

Health policies:

To protect your child and other children, a child who appears ill or has been ill in the preceding 24 hours should not be brought to a classroom. Children need to be free of fever and without fever reducing medication for 24 hours before coming into contact with other children. A child should not be brought to church when the following exists:

  • Common Cold (green, runny nose)
  • Fever (must be free of fever for 24 hours)
  • Vomiting and/or diarrhea (for any reason) within the previous 24 hours
  • Any symptom of the usual childhood diseases – scarlet fever, chicken pox, etc.
  • Sore throat
  • Croup/frequent cough
  • Any unexplained rash
  • Any skin infection – boils, ringworm, impetigo
  • Pink eye and other eye infections

If your child comes down with an infectious disease within 24 hours of attending FBC, please inform the Children’s Ministry Team. When a disease that is easily spread from one person to another is confirmed, parents and teachers will be notified. 


Procedures for drop-off & pick-up

·      Parents are asked to check in their child at any one of our check-in locations.

·      First time guests can register at the Welcome Desk in the Children’s building Foyer.

·      At the time of check in the child(ren) will receive a nametag and parents will receive a security receipt sticker. Parents must have the security receipt sticker in order to pick up their child(ren).

·      If there is an issue where our volunteers feel it is necessary to summon a child's parent, your security receipt sticker number will appear on our screens in the Worship Center. 

·      To insure the safety of our children, parents are to personally drop-off and pick-up their children at their classroom for Nursery through 5th grade. Siblings younger than 15 years are not allowed to drop-off or pick-up.

·      Parents should remain on church campus.

·      The check-in/check-out system used at our campus ensures that each of the more than 300 children who participate in our Children's Ministry are released only to an authorized parent or guardian at the end of the service. We also run background checks on our regular classroom and Welcome Team volunteers. 


Promotion of Children:

We promote in the nursery based on the development of the child, (able to sit up, crawling, walking etc...) Preschool & Elementary classes promote to new classrooms in the fall each year. For other classroom placements, please see the Children's Ministry Staff.

Safe Sanctuary:

Fellowship Kids operates under a Safe Sanctuary Policy. Safety is our number one concern for the children in Fellowship kids. All volunteers have been trained and have cleared a background check before working with our children.

Toddlers:

  • 3 children to 1 volunteer

  • 6 children to 1 volunteer

  • 7 children to 1 volunteer.

K & 1st

  • 8 children to 1 volunteer
