Christmas is celebrated every year and cherished the world over, but does all the sentiment have any real significance in our contemporary age?  In this series of messages, we revisit the announcements that surround the birth of Jesus to discover that the nativity is the defining point in all of history; it is the pivot on which God’s plan revolves.  This means that Jesus’ birth affects my life, and that his humble beginnings are a part of my Christmas story.

Nov 29: The angel Gabriel announces that God’s long-anticipated rule has begun.

Dec 6: Mary rejoices that God is compassionate and attentive to the weak.

Dec 13: Zacharias proclaims that God’s promises are going to be fulfilled through Jesus.

Dec 20: The angels praise God for entering God as a man.

Dec 27: Simeon delights that God has chosen to rescue people from the grip of sin and death.
