Everyone has an opinion on church. Regardless of whether they are faithful in attendance or never darken its door, everyone has an opinion on church. Depending on upbringing, experience, and opportunity, these opinions vary widely, with most falling somewhere between good and bad. But few people know what the church is or why it exists. Come to think of it, why should we sacrifice so much time, talent and treasure to this religious institution?
