Procedures for Secured check-in and Pick-up:

Parents are asked to check in their child at any one of our check-in locations.

First-time guests can register at the welcome desk in the Learning Center.

At the time of check-in the child(ren) will receive a name tag and parents will receive a security receipt sticker. Parents must have the security receipt sticker in order to pick up their child(ren).

If there is an issue where our volunteers feel it is necessary to summon a child’s parent, you will receive a text message. If there is no response from the text, a security receipt number with the child’s last name will appear on our screens in the Worship Center and Ministry Center auditoriums.

To ensure the safety of our children, siblings under 15 years of age are not allowed to check-in or pick-up younger siblings from their classroom.

Parents should remain on the church campus.

The check-in/check-out system used at our campus ensures that each of the more than 300 children who participate in our Fellowship Kids ministry are released only to an authorized parent or guardian at the end of the service. We also run background checks on our regular classroom and welcome team volunteers.

In the event of an emergency lockdown, access to the Learning Center will be prohibited until Fellowship Security has given an all clear. For more information about Safe Sanctuary Policies, feel free to ask a Staff member.

Well Child Policy:

For the health and safety of all children, volunteers, and staff, children and leaders should remain home when experiencing symptoms of illness.
Children and leaders must be:
  • Fever-free for at least 24 hours without fever-reducing medication
  • Vomit-free for at least 48 hours
  • Diarrhea-free for at least 48 hours
  • On antibiotics for at least 24 hours before returning

A child or leader should be kept home, and may be sent home, if they have any of the following symptoms or illnesses:
  • Fever
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Persistent runny nose accompanied by other symptoms
  • Rash or unexplained skin irritation
  • Sore throat accompanied by fever
  • Croup or persistent cough
  • Pink eye or eye infection
  • Skin infections including impetigo, ringworm, or lice
  • Any contagious childhood illness including measles, mumps, rubella, chickenpox, or whooping cough
  • Any condition that prevents the child from comfortably participating in classroom activities

If a child becomes ill while on Fellowship Bible Church’s campus, a staff member will contact a parent or guardian for immediate pickup.

We kindly ask families to consider keeping siblings home as well when a contagious illness is present in the household in order to help limit the spread of illness throughout our ministry.

Fellowship Kids Staff reserves the right to determine when a child should be excluded from programming due to illness symptoms or contagious conditions.

Promotion of Children to the Next Class:

We promote in the nursery based on the development of the child, (able to sit up, crawling, walking, etc.). Preschool & elementary classes promote to new classrooms in the fall each year. For other classroom placements, please see the Fellowship Kids staff.
