hand in hand ministry

Hand in Hand MInistry

Our mission

Hand in Hand’s mission is to grow compelling relationships with God and others by making the Gospel more accessible with every encounter at Fellowship Bible Church.

HAND IN HAND

Hand in Hand is the special needs ministry of Fellowship Bible Church that serves persons of varying age groups and abilities. It is our ultimate desire to have each person involved at their level of comfort while participating in worship when at Fellowship. We seek to be inclusive when possible, yet some are more comfortable in a room with a lesson and approach to worship designed specifically for them. Fellowship also considers a family’s preference while being mindful of the safety of our caregivers (Buddies) and others in practicing our mission.

belong

Hand in Hand hosts Belong, a community-wide night for Adults ages 18 years and older with special needs. Belong seeks to have a place for Adults with special needs to have a time of fellowship, food, building community with one another, and learning about the Lord. This event is held on the second Thursday of every month from 6-7:30 and we would love to have you join us.

how can you serve?

There are multiple ways you can get plugged in and serve for our Hand in Hand ministry.

Fellowship Buddies

On Sunday mornings we have Fellowship Buddies who work with friends who may need a little extra support in the classroom. A Fellowship Buddy accompanies and assists a student throughout the service in a typical classroom setting. If needed, Buddies can work with a student one-on-one.

BELONG NIGHT

You can volunteer to help with our Belong night. Belong meets once a month for Young Adults with Special Needs. Volunteers are asked to help any friends who may need assistance throughout the night with dinner, games, and worship. Belong typically meets the 2nd Thursday of every month.
